Hopefully I am NOT the only one???

Isn't this kitty sweet? Reminds me of our late KittyBoy (see my sidebar~~awwww)...And he would have nestled in this beautiful lavender finery, too~~lol!

I have become a tad frustrated with the "Operation Aborted" message I keep getting while trying to read so many blogs out there. So of course I have not been able to comment as much as I want to either. I have deleted my followers widget since that was what was advised under the Blogger "Help" info.

Any thoughts or suggestions...I am using IE8 and am hesitant to change to Mozilla, because I am a chicken, I guess...


Enjoyed a productive although verrrrry hot day outside, cleaning deck furniture. Ah yes, one of the necessities and the chairs look so much better:) Next outdoor project: re-staining the double decks and this will be a family affair~~LOL!

There are so many ways we thrive or flourish. Growing or progressing towards a goal is exciting and fun, at times. But sometimes, the little gifts we receive along the way mean even more to us than the actual goal.
What I continue to learn:
~The tough moments are when I need to reach out to others, no matter how hard it may be at the time. The blessings are in the reaching out...
~Letting someone know they are appreciated and thanking them for their kindness or help.
~Feeling grateful for every day, every moment that we have
~And yes, give your sweeties and babies (no matter how big they are)a big hug!

Such a Sweet Thank-you!

Remember the Etsy Virtual Baby Shower I posted about in April? Etsy sellers signed up to make baby gifts for Etsy Moms-to-be and then we had a virtual baby shower in one of the Chat rooms on Etsy.

My "mom", Tiffany was given was expecting her 2nd little GIRL!! Since I just ADORE making baby gifts and especially girly gifts, I was delighted!

Today I received a very sweet thank-you email from Tiffany with a link to her blog, where she posted about the gift I sent her

In addition to loving the art of crochet and creating~~~this truly is the gift I receive. What a Joy to see my work modeled by such a beautiful little sweet pea! Happy 20th Birthday Chris!

Our baby turns 20 today.... The photo above was taken a few moments after we brought Christopher Ryan home from the hospital. My mom was holding him and new big brother Michael was helping~~We cherish this photo so much...(Check out Michael's long eyelashes~~they are still like that too, at 22 years old.)

Chris has wanted a drum set for a long time. Michael has a friend who was selling a complete, hardly used set and at a GREAT price (key factor here), so guess what Chris is getting today? Michael's friend is bringing them over sometime today and they will set up in the basement. Chris had rearranged 'stuff' in the basement last week for his drums. There will.be.rules.with.playing.these.drums...Michael has been in a band before, where we had practice sessions here, etc and since Steven works out of the house now, there.will.be.rules. Chris' friend is coming over later and will spend the night and he plays guitar. So I am sure we will have music playing non-stop for a couple of days...

Oh yes, in addition to the birthday today, I am still getting stuff ready for the Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale that is tomorrow (8-12). I haven't participated in this for several years. The last time I did, I promised I would never do another Garage Sale ever again. Well....."never.say.never" seems to be a lesson I am re-learning alot lately.

Ahhhh, the art of multi-tasking, right ladies?
